Building Engineer - 3rd Shift

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with experience maintaining commercial building systems, including HVAC equipment and controls, electrical systems, plumbing systems, life safety, and building automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
- Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards.
- Comply with all codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Maintain an energy management program to ensure systems operate efficiently.
- Assist with implementing a preventive maintenance program to extend the life of building machinery and systems.
- Perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Follow departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Review inspections of building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Build consensus and work within broad guidelines and policies to explain difficult or sensitive information.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills, including calculating percentages, fractions, and financial-related figures.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay
The compensation range for this position is $38.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
