About the role

The Building Enclosure Consultant, Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing consulting/commissioning projects, assisting in business development, preparing proposals, performing project management activities, and executing testing protocols. This position travels up to 25% of the time and works Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Manage consulting/commissioning projects
  • Aid in national/international business development, marketing, and sales efforts regarding consulting and testing
  • Prepare proposals and develop new business promptly to support the business
  • Collaborate with Building Science Solutions Group and testing managers to source and share client contacts and leads
  • Perform project management activities including planning, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, execution, and reporting
  • Maintain contract requirements, invoicing, receivables, and maintain acceptable profit margins
  • Participate in training and management of building science staff to assist on consulting projects
  • Write and execute testing protocols and prepare construction document deliverables for new and renovation projects
  • Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings and submittals; develop remedial work recommendations for existing buildings
  • Perform construction administration site visits and prepare reports/punch lists; coordinate with project teams and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • 5+ years of building enclosure consulting experience
  • Technical understanding of building enclosure systems and construction process
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and specifications
  • Ability to manage projects and internal project team on all sizes of projects
  • Ability to perform work from ladders, boom-lifts, scaffolds, swing stages, roofs, etc.
  • Extensive technical competence and ability to effectively communicate with clients, designers, contractors, and coworkers, both in writing and orally
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to meet changing and strict deadlines
  • Consistent and professional interaction and communication with clients and project team
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report

Schedule
