About the role

A highly respected multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm in the Columbus market is seeking a Building Envelope Consultant to support a growing portfolio of commercial, institutional, healthcare, industrial, education, and mixed-use projects throughout the Midwest.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical consulting services related to the investigation, assessment, testing, design review, and performance of building enclosure systems.
  • Project responsibilities may include:
    • Roofing and waterproofing evaluations
    • Building enclosure assessments
    • Air and water infiltration testing
    • Rooft condition surveys and asset management programs
    • Facade and cladding investigations
    • Leak investigations and forensic evaluations
    • Construction observations and quality assurance
    • Design review and peer review services
    • Building envelope commissioning and field testing
  • Client consultation and technical reporting

Requirements

  • Experience with roofing, waterproofing, exterior wall systems, glazing, air barriers, and moisture management systems
  • Strong understanding of building enclosure design and performance
  • Experience performing field observations, assessments, and testing
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage client relationships and multiple projects simultaneously

  • Licensed Architect
  • Registered Roof Consultant (RRC)
  • Registered Roof Observer (RRO)
  • Building Envelope Consultant
  • Building Science Professional
  • Roofing and Waterproofing Specialist
  • Forensic Consultant
