About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that buildings meet energy efficiency and sustainability standards through commissioning processes. This includes overseeing the performance of building systems to ensure they operate as intended.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the commissioning process for new and existing buildings to ensure compliance with energy efficiency and sustainability standards.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers to identify and resolve issues related to building system performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact in buildings.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments to monitor building systems and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain documentation related to building commissioning activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building commissioning, energy management, or a related field.
  • Experience with commissioning tools and software such as ASHRAE 189.1, LEED, or other relevant certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Experience with commissioning of mission-critical facilities is a plus.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
