About the role

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing computer-controlled systems that monitor and manage a building's mechanical and electrical equipment, such as HVAC, lighting, and security systems. Key responsibilities include programming control systems, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance for energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and program building automation systems (BAS), including setting up sequences of operations and schedules.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose system failures, and perform repairs on equipment like HVAC, lighting controls, and access control systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, using tools like multimeters and signal analyzers.
  • Analyze energy usage and make modifications to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of system changes, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with other staff, including HVAC, electrical, and IT personnel, and sometimes with vendors.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED with 1-3 years of experience with HVAC systems and a minimum of one year of HVAC experience in a hospital environment.
  • Technical School training in HVAC, Steam System Operating, or similar field.
  • Previous experience with BAS (e.g., Siemens Desigo, JCI, Honeywell Alerton, Trane Summit, etc.).

Qualifications

Pay

The posted compensation range is $25.42 - $37.82 /hour, reflecting the lowest to highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Schedule

Hours vary, typically 80 hours per week, with a shift of Day and a travel requirement of 75% of the time.
