Buena Vista: Caregiver/Personal Care Aide
About the role
As a Caregiver at PeopleCare Health Services, you will provide quality, compassionate care to clients according to their care plans. Your primary goals will be to promote consumer dignity, independence, comfort, mobility, personal appearance, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform homemaking and personal care duties in the client’s home during assigned hours and days.
- Aid clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Recognize the importance of a clean, healthy environment in performing household tasks and take measures to keep the home in safe condition.
- Protect and respect client confidentiality, maintaining personal health information according to policy.
- Complete requisite paperwork and documentation on time and accurately.
- Attend applicable training and communicate other training needs to office staff.
- Follow agency policies and procedures.
- Communicate with office personnel on client needs and assist in coordinating care with family members.
Requirements
PeopleCare Health Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team. Applicants must have a valid Colorado driver’s license and reliable transportation. Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with the ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
