About the Role
The Budtender is responsible for providing customers with an extraordinary experience through meaningful interaction and knowledgeable answers. Budtenders contribute to creating a compassionate, inclusive, and respectful dispensary environment while assisting the Management Team with store operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide knowledge, expertise, and guidance to customers about Premium Cannabis products.
- Resolve customer questions or concerns quickly and escalate unresolved issues to management.
- Accurately process customer orders using the Point of Sale (POS) and inventory tracking systems in compliance with company, local, and state policies.
- Adapt to varied sales volumes by maintaining an engaging environment, assisting with stocking, and keeping the dispensary clean and operational.
- Meet or exceed sales metrics by following the customer experience selling cycle and offering tailored product suggestions.
- Assist management in ensuring compliance with regulatory and procedural standards.
- Foster a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect while maintaining curiosity about cannabis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or Store Lead.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and guest-ready store environment, including restrooms.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Able to pass all background checks as required by state cannabis agency.
- Availability to work a retail schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Prior customer service experience in hospitality, pharmacy, customer services, or retail.
- Must stay current and adhere to all policies and regulations of the state cannabis agency.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of experience in retail or customer service; cannabis experience is a plus.
