In this role, you will engage with customers, share your knowledge of cannabis products, and guide them in making informed choices that suit their needs. You will also assist in maintaining a well-organized and compliant dispensary, ensuring that every customer leaves with a positive experience and the right products for their journey.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service.
• Educate customers about various cannabis products, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories, ensuring they understand their effects and benefits.
• Maintain an organized and compliant dispensary environment, including inventory management and product displays.
• Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle cash responsibly.
• Stay informed about industry trends, product knowledge, and local regulations to provide accurate information to customers.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive and engaging atmosphere in the dispensary.

Pay

Salary $18 USD per hour

Skills

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably in the cannabis industry
• Strong knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and effects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate customers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
• Commitment to compliance with local and state regulations regarding cannabis sales.
• Ability to stand for 6-8hrs a Shift
• Experience with Dutchie point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Familiarity with cannabis laws and regulations in New York.
• Passion for social justice and community engagement, particularly in relation to cannabis reform.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Previous experience in a startup environment or a willingness to adapt to a dynamic work culture.
