Budget Analyst, Senior

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Budget Analyst, Senior with 10+ years of experience for their expanding workforce to support analysis of budget and accounting reports at Contractor and Government sites in Patuxent River, MD, and Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities

• Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations
• Analyze budgeting and accounting reports

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience performing duties described in the functional description
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening—for staff, customer, and organizational level communications, both formal and informal
• Ability to perform all functional duties independently, self-starter
• Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Desired Experience

• 5 years of experience supporting NAVAIR
• 2 years’ experience within Department of the Navy (DoN) Financial management experience should include financial analysis of business programs including Development of cost estimates, program status reports
• Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) Financial Management Regulations (FMR) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Planning, Program, Budgeting, Execution (PPBE) process
• 2 years’ experience with DoN procurement policies and procedures
• Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Case documents Obligation and expenditure phasing plans
• Experience in Navy Enterprise Resources Planning (NERP) Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS) Management Information System for International Logistics (MISIL) Other DoN financial automated accounting & budgeting systems

Education

• MA/MS degree
• Bachelor’s Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master’s Degree
• Six (6) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master’s Degree

Pay

The typical annual salary range for this position is $95,000.00 USD to $110,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.
