Budget Analyst Junior

About the role

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Budget Analyst, Junior with less than 3 years of experience, for their expanding workforce to support analysis of budget and accounting reports at Contractor and Government sites in Patuxent River, MD, and Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities

• Analyze budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations
• Analyze budgeting and accounting reports

Requirements

• Less than 3 years’ experience performing duties described in the functional description
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening—for staff, customer, and organizational level communications, both formal and informal
• Ability to perform all functional duties independently, self-starter
• Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Qualifications

• Education: BA/BS degree. Allowable substitution of an Associate’s Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree or Four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Pay

The typical annual salary range for this position is $55,000.00 USD to $79,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.
