Budget Analyst
Job Summary
The City of Chesapeake is seeking applications for the position of Budget Analyst. This position is open to both experienced professionals and early-career candidates who demonstrate strong analytical and customer service skills.

Join a talented and innovative Budget staff in a City with a reputation for stability and management excellence. The Budget Department supports over 40 City departments in developing an annual operating budget and CIP totaling more than $2 billion.
Responsibilities
- Forge relationships with a portfolio of assigned departments
- Make recommendations based on analysis to City leadership
- Support the development of the annual operating budget and CIP
- Work independently to find solutions to complex problems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, economics, public finance or a related field
- Minimum of one year of related, full-time equivalent experience
- Master's degree in a related field is desirable

Hiring salary range: $60K to $99K DOQ/E
