About the role
Syft is seeking a talented and passionate software engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining features that power our platform, connecting bakers with opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues across the stack
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
- Optimize application performance and improve system reliability
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
- Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
Skills
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Experience with React and state management libraries
- Database design and query optimization
- Debugging and performance profiling
- Agile development methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication

Pay
$130,000 – $165,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday with flexible start times; core collaboration hours 10am–2pm PT.
