About the role

Syft is seeking a talented and passionate software engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining features that power our platform, connecting bakers with opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues across the stack
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
  • Optimize application performance and improve system reliability

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
  • Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js
  • Experience with React and state management libraries
  • Database design and query optimization
  • Debugging and performance profiling
  • Agile development methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication

Pay

$130,000 – $165,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday with flexible start times; core collaboration hours 10am–2pm PT.
