Broom Sweeper Operator

Archer Western de Moya JV, a member of The Walsh Group, is seeking a Broom/Sweeper Operator for the Miami Signature Bridge in Miami, FL. The Operator's primary function is to operate a Broom/Sweeper at the site to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building structures. Equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates a Broom/Sweeper to remove debris including broken pavement, asphalt, concrete, mud, and other construction materials
• Knowledge of operating procedures for loading and unloading materials
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment; oils, greases, services, and makes normal maintenance adjustments
• Completes paperwork and other documentation as needed
• Performs other related duties as required

Requirements

• 3-5 years of operating experience preferred
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• May be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Effective communication with co-workers and supervisors
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Good manual dexterity; may involve standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
