Job Overview
Power Only Broker within Schneider’s Power Only division responsible for establishing and growing a strong book of business by sourcing carrier capacity, negotiating rates to drive revenue growth, and ensuring on-time delivery for customers.
Responsibilities
- Prospect new carriers and strengthen relationships with existing ones through rate negotiation and deal closure in an open transactional selling environment.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, take ownership of freight, think critically, and make quick decisions to manage pickups and ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain trailer pool balance across markets to meet customer satisfaction targets.
- Promote Schneider’s digital tools by coaching carriers on how to use the technology to meet their business goals.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction.
- Outstanding communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving and creative solution development.
- Confident speaking with carriers and making outbound calls.
- Comfortable learning new technology and using multiple computer systems simultaneously.
- Excited to sell and demonstrate Schneider’s digital solutions to carriers and explain how they can improve carrier operations.
