Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic risk management solutions for large, global clients.
  • Design, market, and service manage insurance programs in numerous industry sectors.
  • Learn and assess client needs, craft solutions, and negotiate with insurance carriers to acquire coverage that is in a client’s best interests.
  • Coverages include: Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Crime, Fiduciary Liability, and Kidnap/Ransom.
  • Manage routine support activities for brokers and senior brokers, including renewal strategy documents, proposals, submissions, and data analysis for insurance solution placements.
  • Assist with the processing of policy and related documents.
  • Apply technical skills such as client analysis, underwriting, and insurance program diagnostic to continuously improve client programs and build opportunity with prospective clients.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with external and internal clients, prospects, and colleagues.
  • Deliver effective client and prospect presentations in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Negotiate effectively to improve broking results for clients.
  • Engage the claims and legal advocacy group for claim administration and counsel as per established protocols and advice from senior team members.
  • Facilitate and/or participate in client/broker strategy meetings.
  • May assist with the development and delivery of effective client and prospect presentations in conjunction with senior team members.

Requirements

  • 1+ years in brokering, underwriting, and/or other relevant executive liability proven experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent years of industry experience.

Skills

  • Technical skills including client analysis/underwriting and insurance program diagnostic.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all external and internal contacts.

Qualifications

  • Property & Casualty license required within 6 months of hire date.
  • San Francisco and Los Angeles applicants must comply with local Fair Chance ordinances.

Pay and Schedule

The salary range for this position (for U.S. applicants) is $88,780 - $120,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also vary based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
