Job Description
- Support live event broadcasts, including camera, video and audio feeds, and integration of those feeds into Arena infrastructure.
- Manage signal routing between control rooms, press areas, RF/IPTV systems and external broadcast trucks.
- Install, configure, and maintain broadcast equipment and transmission systems.
- Support and maintain In-Arena Video, Audio, RF/IPTV systems; support and maintain Arena broadcasting infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in real time during live events.
- Perform preventative maintenance and system testing.
- Collaborate with AV, IT, production teams, and visiting broadcasters.
- Works with Engineering Staff to ensure all events have proper Part-Time staff coverage.
- Acts as the secondary Engineer-In-Charge (EIC) for events at the Arena.
- Provides training to production and support staff, as necessary.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
Qualifications
- Degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Video and Audio Engineering or related field preferred.
- Experience in live sports or large-scale event broadcasting and production.
- Strong understanding of video/audio signal flow and IP-based broadcast systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
