Broadcast Associate, 60 Minutes
About the role
60 Minutes is seeking a Broadcast Associate to provide administrative, digital, and editorial support to the show’s Executive Producer.
Responsibilities
- Handling all administrative duties, including answering phones, maintaining schedules, monitoring emails, booking travel, and doing expenses
- Coinciding meetings and story screenings for senior staff and producing teams
- Aiding with digital needs and components for the shows programming
- Maintaining the show's story pitch database and aiding the EP with story organization and show lineups
- Aiding senior staff and producing teams with digital and research needs
- Working with producer teams to prepare for a shoot, including assembling research binders, printing questions, and anticipating production needs
Qualifications
- Must have a background in journalism and experience in a newsroom
- Experience working in digital journalism
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion
- Ability to balance priorities, multiple projects, and tasks, and act with urgency
- Exemplary written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Team player with a positive outlook
- Ability to work under deadline in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends, late nights with little notice
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport preferred
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, with ability to work nights and weekends as needed
Onsite role located at 555 W 57th St, New York City CBS News and Stations

Hiring Salary Range
$51,500.00 - 65,000.00
Additional Information
Hiring Salary Range applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
