Bringing the Sky Indoors: Our Recent Lutron Motorized Skylight Installation

About the role

We recently completed a challenging and rewarding project installing a Lutron motorized skylight shade on a massive skylight measuring 10 feet by 14 feet. This wasn't a typical residential window treatment—it required a custom solution to control sunlight, heat gain, and glare while maintaining the space's aesthetic and functionality.

We designed and installed a custom motorized shade system integrated with Lutron controls, offering effortless light management through touch-button operation or automated scheduling. The result is a whisper-quiet, smooth-operating shade that adapts to the time of day and season, providing energy efficiency, UV protection, and enhanced aesthetics with clean lines and minimal hardware.
