Bridge Inspection Project Manager/Team Leader
About the role
This opportunity is for a Bridge Inspection Project Manager/Team Leader in WSP's Mountain/Pacific Northwest Region Bridge Inspection Group. The position is based in Denver with flexibility to work from offices in Utah, Arizona, Idaho, or Montana. Key responsibilities include leading inspections, managing projects, and developing business.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural inspections and report findings according to NBIS/NTIS standards and client guidelines.
- Manage and supervise project budgets, monitor progress, and oversee subcontractors.
- Pursue and execute bridge inspection projects for state, transit, and local clients.
- Prepare and present proposals, manage project scopes, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals to address engineering challenges and improve projects.
- Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills and professional development.
- Ensure project success through effective communication, problem-solving, and adherence to quality control standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Professional Engineering Licensure.
- 10+ years of experience in bridge inspection with transportation clients.
- NBIS Certified Bridge Inspection Team Leader with up-to-date certifications.
- NHI/FHWA Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges/Nonredundant Steel Tension Steel Members Certificate (130078).
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities.
- Physical capability to perform continuous field work, including working at heights and in close quarters.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented structure.
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
- Ability to supervise, train, and direct the work of team members.
- Cognizant of time and budget management.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adhering to WSP's policies.

Benefits
WSP offers a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and more. Compensation ranges from $120,000 - $187,000 (all locations) and $135,000 - $200,000 (Colorado only), depending on experience and qualifications.

$120,000 - $187,000 (all locations)
Schedule
Full-time position with flexibility to work from multiple offices in the Mountain/Pacific Northwest Region.
