Bridge Engineering Intern – Spring 2027

About the role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Bridge Engineering Intern – Spring 2027 to join our Miami, FL office.

Responsibilities

• Perform design calculations for bridges and civil structures.
• Support the senior engineers by preparing reinforcement lists, quantity take-offs, and redlines for bridges and civil structures.
• Complete technical training courses assigned for career development.
• Review shop drawings for compliance with design plans.

Requirements

Prior experience working with a team in a professional setting. Must be a junior and have completed 90 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).

Skills

Ability to learn analysis software including MathCAD, Excel, and bridge modeling tools.

Pay

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
