About the role
The Bridge Engineer, PE position involves designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various types of bridges. This includes working closely with clients to understand project requirements, developing detailed engineering plans, and ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Developing and reviewing structural designs for bridges, including load calculations and material selection.
- Collaborating with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Performing site inspections and providing technical advice during construction phases.
- Preparing and presenting reports and presentations to clients and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in relevant field.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional bridge engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
