Bridge Engineer II

Responsibilities
- Independently develop standard bridge design tasks, calculation packages, and detailed engineering drawings under minimal supervision.
- Perform detailed calculations for concrete, prestressed concrete and steel bridge components and retaining walls, including drilled shaft, pile and spread footing foundations.
- Model bridge structures using structural design/analysis programs like MDX, LEAP Bridge Concrete (CONSPAN & RC-PIER), OpenBridge Designer, LARSA, LPILE & GROUP.
- Create comprehensive 3D finite element models using programs like OpenBridge Modeler & Designer, LARSA, or LEAP.
- Perform complex Load Rating Calculations using AASHTOWare or CSiBridge.
- Lead/check and develop detailed engineering drawings using Microstation, including rebar calculations and layout.
- Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
- Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines including Geotechnical, roadway, environmental, and drainage teams.
- Support other engineering activities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- 5+ years of related work experience
- Professional Engineering license required
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD (Microstation Open Roads Designer a plus) and other PC software packages (e.g. MDX, RC-PIER, LARSA) typically associated with engineering is required
Qualifications
- Central location to one of our Parsons offices to support regular in-office collaboration
- Experience with high-visibility Design-Build and Public Private Partnership "P3" projects
- Experience with complex, challenging work for our entire professional staff and new hires

$74,800.00 - $130,900.00
