Bridge Engineer

Responsibilities

• Performs technical discipline tasks related to bridge and bridge-related work including research, report preparation, design, and specification/plan preparation.
• Affords assistance in business development activities, including meetings with clients.
• Assists in preparing and coordinating proposal efforts to secure work.
• Provides mentoring and guidance for junior engineering staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 6+ years of bridge design experience.
• PE is a plus.
• Experience on NYSDOT, and Local Administered Federal Aid transportation projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Bridge Design Software.
• Knowledge of ASSHTO and NYSDOT specifications and standards.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relationships skills.

Pay

Salary Range: $87,000 – $130,000

Wendel is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The salary offered will be determined based the successful candidates’ relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary offered will also take into consideration regional adjustment factors.
