Bridge Engineer

Responsibilities

• Aid senior engineers in developing detailed calculations and construction drawings, including foundation designs, bridge structures, and load rating calculations.
• Use software like MDX, LEAP Bridge Concrete, OpenBridge Designer, LARSA, LPILE, and GROUPLoad to perform structural analysis and design.
• Create detailed engineering drawings using Microstation, including rebar calculations and layout.
• Conduct quantity calculations and collaborate with internal engineering disciplines such as geotechnical, roadway, environmental, and drainage teams.
• Support other engineering activities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• 3+ years of related work experience
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate required
• Proficiency in CAD (Microstation Open Roads Designer) and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering

Qualifications

Parsons is seeking a talented Bridge Engineer to support large transformative transportation projects. The ideal candidate should be centrally located to one of our Parsons offices to support regular in-office collaboration.

• Structural calculations for concrete and steel bridge components and retaining walls
• Modeling bridge structures using structural design/analysis programs
• Load Rating Calculations using AASHTOWare
• Creating detailed engineering drawings using Microstation
• Conducting quantity calculations
• Collaborating with internal engineering disciplines
• Supporting other engineering activities

Pay

$63,600.00 - $111,300.00
