Responsibilities
- Active participation in the design and delivery of bridge projects, including new bridge design, rehabilitation, widening, and related transportation structures.
- Structural analysis and design development.
- Bridge plan production.
- Load rating and shop drawing review.
- Quality control and coordination with project teams and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Arkansas or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive bridge/structural design experience.
- Strong verbal communication, technical writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenBridge for bridge layout, modeling, and plan production.
- Proficiency in bridge analysis, design, and load rating software such as LEAP Bridge Steel, CSI Bridge, AASHTOWare Bridge Design and Rating, or similar tools used for ARDOT bridge projects.
- Working knowledge of ARDOT design standards and AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience delivering bridge projects for ARDOT and/or other state DOT clients.
- Valid driver’s license.
