About the role
Serves as a bridge and structural engineer responsible for planning, analysis, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee bridge design, load rating, rehabilitation, widening, and replacement projects.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, NDOT requirements, and applicable ACI, AISC, and building codes.
- Coverage project schedules and budgets.
- Review and approve engineering work products for quality, accuracy, and constructability.
- Cookinate with clients, agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams throughout project development and construction.
- Participate in project meetings, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and support construction engineering services.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil engineering is required.
- A Master's of Science degree in an appropriate engineering discipline is preferred.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in bridge design.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- This position requires a Nevada Professional Engineer license, or capable of acquiring in six (6) months after hire.
- Valid driver’s license.
