Bridge Design Engineer
Position Summary
MJ is actively seeking an entry level bridge designer to join our team to assist with current and exciting future projects. This job offering provides an exciting opportunity for the ideal candidate to grow and advance in MJ’s bridge and engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
Designing of steel and concrete bridges
Development of construction plans and documents
Developing Engineer’s Estimates
Load Analysis of ordinary and complex bridge elements
Experience in bridge inspection
Knowledge of NYSDOT and NYS Thruway Authority Standards
Qualifications
Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited college with 0 to 4 years of relevant experience in civil engineering
Registration as an Intern Engineer (I.E.) in NY is preferred
Knowledge of the use of Bentley Microstation and Microsoft Office
Preferred experience in STAAD, MERLIN DASH and MathCAD
Ability to work within multiple design teams and meet demanding schedules
Willing to work overtime

$62,000-$72,000
