Bridge Carpenter

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain a standard set of tools to perform carpentry tasks.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Fabricate forms, assemble, and disassemble regular and special formwork.
• Knowledge of placing, vibrating, and finishing concrete.
• Manage and utilize generators, light plants, water pumps, compressors, compressed air, and power tools.
• Use of curing compounds, epoxies, and other chemicals.
• Construct Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls.
• Proper use of fall protection harness.
• Fabricate temporary support systems and railings.
• Review existing operations; develop and recommend improved methods and procedures for traffic maintenance activities.
• Provide verbal and written status reports and special reports as needed.
• Work as a positive and dependable team member, willing to learn and follow company policies and procedures.
• Work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of carpenter experience in a construction environment preferred.
• Valid Driver License.

Pay

Starting at $22/hr., commensurate with experience.

Schedule
