About the role

The role involves conducting first, second, and final fittings with brides for their wedding gowns. Duties include customizing gowns for each bride, such as hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, and sleeve modifications. Additionally, you will handle bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and ceremony attire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fittings for wedding gowns
• Customize gowns including hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, and sleeve modifications
• Create bustles tailored to the dress design and the bride's preference
• Work with brides to explain what is possible with their dress, timelines, and expectations on the day
• Ensure proper fitting of high-value gowns with patience
• Provide a calm and reassuring presence during fittings
• Manage a reliable workspace with adequate space for fitting and steaming

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in bridal alterations (portfolio or references welcome)
• Experience working with high-value gowns and the ability to fit them properly
• A strong customer-facing presence, ensuring brides feel at ease
• A reliable workspace with sufficient space for fittings and steaming

Qualifications

• Portfolio showcasing previous work
