About the role

The role involves conducting first, second, and final fittings with brides for their wedding gowns. Duties include customizing gowns for each bride, such as hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, and sleeve modifications. Additional responsibilities include handling bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and ceremony attire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fittings for wedding gowns
• Customize gowns including hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, and sleeve modifications
• Handle bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and ceremony attire
• Provide guidance on what is possible with the dress, timelines, and expectations on the day

Requirements

• Demonstrated bridal alteration experience (portfolio or references welcome)
• Confidence working with high-value gowns and the patience to fit them properly
• A strong customer-facing presence to calm brides' nerves
• A reliable workspace with adequate space for fitting and steaming
