About the role

The role involves conducting first, second, and final fittings with brides for their wedding gowns. Duties include customizing gowns for each bride, such as hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, and sleeve modifications. Handling bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and ceremony attire is also part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fittings for wedding gowns
• Customize gowns including hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, and sleeve modifications
• Create bustles tailored to the dress design and the bride's preference
• Work with bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and ceremony attire
• Provide guidance on what is possible with the dress, timelines, and expectations on the day

Requirements

• Demonstrated bridal alteration experience (portfolio or references welcome)
• Experience working with high-value gowns and the ability to fit them properly
• A strong customer-facing presence, especially in helping brides feel calm and confident
• A reliable workspace with adequate space for fitting and steaming

Qualifications
