Brewing Operators

We are currently hiring Brewing Operators at the Samuel Adams Brewery in Breinigsville, PA. Brew Operators play a critical role in crafting world-class beverages for The Boston Beer Company. This position is responsible for the successful execution of brew, ferment, filtration, and blend processes and operations. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and previous experience working in industrial manufacturing. Previous brewing experience is not required.

Schedule

• Night shift, 5:35 PM-5:50 AM
• 4-week rotation schedule for 24/7 brewing coverage
• Crews work the front half of the week for 4 weeks (Sunday–Tuesday & alternating Wednesdays)
• Rotate to the back half of the week for 4 weeks (Thursday–Saturday & alternating Wednesdays)

What You'll Brew

• Execute brew, ferment, filtration, and blend operations
• Maintain supply line temperature, flow, and operation
• Make equipment and product changeovers
• Complete accurate and timely inventory records
• Troubleshoot and escalate inventory discrepancies
• Unload material for Brewing and Blending processes
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform quality checks, testing, and paperwork as required
• Perform work and cleaning in confined space areas
• Operate forklifts as required
• Fulfill sanitation duties

Education and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and systems
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
• Previous experience in brewing, distilling, and/or CPG manufacturing (preferred but not required)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible and able to shift priorities in a fast-paced work environment
• Collaborative team player
• Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a “get-it-done, can-do” attitude
• Proficient with Computer systems, including MS Outlook

Physical Requirements

• Pass a pre-employment physical exam
• May require the use of a respirator and pass associated fit test
• Lift up to 60 lbs, sometimes repeatedly
• Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day)
• Work in non-environmentally conditioned spaces which may lead to extreme hot and cold conditions
• May require sitting for a prolonged period of time
• Strong peripheral vision and depth perception

Pay and Benefits

The pay rate for this role if hired is $22.40 per hour. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Some Perks include:
