Brewery Representative, Central NJ

Full-time, field-based position in Central NJ; ideal candidate lives in Monmouth or Ocean County, preferably the Point Pleasant area.

Responsibilities

• Sell the entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolio with 100% focus on retail accounts (bars, restaurants, liquor stores, grocery stores, convenience stores).
• Identify major accounts not currently selling BBC products and develop plans to establish business with them.
• Improve account conditions and merchandise by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase brand visibility.
• Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts.
• Conduct waitstaff/bartender education, beer tastings, and evening promotions.
• Work occasional weekends and holidays to support business needs.
• Travel regularly in the market to service retailers and wholesalers, with occasional travel for meetings and trainings.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry.
• Intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality.
• Valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive continuously to and from accounts.
• Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently.
• Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale items.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.

Pay

Salary range: $48,000 – $70,500, dependent on experience, skillset, and location. This position also qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
