Breast Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem Float

About the role

A Breast Ultrasound Technologist Float performs clinical breast ultrasound procedures across multiple locations, working closely with the healthcare team to support diagnostic imaging. The technologist ensures high-quality images, maintains equipment, and documents patient data, collaborating with radiologists and technologists to provide accurate diagnostic information.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures and verify image quality
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort
• Maintain and sterilize ultrasound equipment and rooms
• Evaluate and interpret images, presenting findings to physicians
• Manage patient records and utilize imaging systems such as PACS and EMR
• Review prior images and reports to optimize exams
• Collaborate with team members and participate in meetings and training
• Assist with special projects and compliance activities

Requirements

• ARDMS registered sonographer with eligibility for advanced breast certification within six months
• Minimum of 2 years breast sonography experience
• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
• Proficient in PACS, RIS, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Ability to read and write in English and follow safety instructions
• Effective interpersonal skills for working with patients and team members

Pay

USD $45.00/Hr. to USD $55.00/Hr.
