About The Role The Culinary team at Recess Hotel & Club is looking for an experienced and dependable Breakfast Cook to join our opening team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced morning kitchen, takes pride in consistency, and knows how to start the day strong for our guests. As part of the opening culinary team, you’ll help establish the standards, rhythm, and culture of a brand-new kitchen while preparing high-quality breakfast and brunch dishes with care, speed, and attention to detail. This is an onsite position located at Recess Hotel & Club in Savannah, Georgia. What You'll Do Prepare and execute breakfast and brunch menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and service expectationsSet up and maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked breakfast stationPrepare eggs, breakfast proteins, griddle items, and other menu components with consistency and accuracyWork efficiently through high-volume morning service while maintaining quality and timing standardsSupport daily prep, food production, and proper storage of ingredientsCommunicate prep needs, product levels, and 86’d items to Chefs and fellow cooksMaintain proper food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and kitchen organization standardsWork collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth service and an exceptional guest experience Qualifications Previous breakfast cook, line cook, brunch, hotel, or restaurant kitchen experience preferredStrong working knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques, including eggs, griddle, and basic hot-line preparationAbility to work efficiently and stay organized during busy morning serviceReliable team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detailEffective communication and time-management skillsPassion for food, hospitality, and producing high-quality workAbility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as neededAbility to perform frequent standing, bending, lifting, and other physical movement required in a professional kitchen Why Recess?
