Breakfast Cafe Server - PT

Description

Create memorable experiences for our guests as a Café Server located in the Lincoln Cornhusker Marriott hotel. We only hire those who are at the top of their game and specialize in the details!

What will you be doing?

• Greets guests in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner
• Must learn all menu items, take order and inputs orders into Point of Sale system
• Replenishes beverages as requested, frequently checking back with Guest to inquire about satisfaction
• Checks and maintains proper set-up and cleanliness of service station before, during, and after shift
• Presents the Guest with the check promptly, thanking them and inviting them to return in a friendly demeanor
• Performs general cleaning tasks, using standard cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards

What you will bring to the role?

• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
• Ability to speak, read, and write the English language to communicate with the guest, take orders, understand the menu, and promote specials
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
• Ability to transport trays through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift
• Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed
• Maintain a positive attitude throughout shift
• Work as a team player
• Able to remain motivated during busy and slow periods within shift
• Cash handling and self-banking position, requires ability to maintain funds, and accurately count back change
• Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check
