Breakfast Bar Attendent

ROLE SUMMARY

The Lloyd Hotel in Stamford is seeking a Part-Time Breakfast Bar Attendent to join our team!

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome and sit diners comfortably in the dining section
• Taking customers’ food and drink orders
• Memorizing the menu and recommending appetizers, meals, and drinks from restaurant wine stock
• Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
• Aiding with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers, and keeping the cafe area neat and pleasant
• Ensuring utensils and bar area are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
• Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system
• Making menu item recommendations
• Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality
• Providing attentive service to diners, such as refilling drinks as needed and checking in on their needs
• Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary
• Performing some cleaning duties, like at the service station and around the kitchen

• Ability and willingness to collaborate
• Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work flexible work schedules that include weekends
• Physically able to be on their feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
