About the role
Performs all monitoring and/or clerical duties as they pertain to maintaining a clean and safe environment for the services provided at an elementary cafeteria.
Responsibilities
- Reports consistently for work as scheduled
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Achieves proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards
- Completes daily paperwork for the school and food service vendor (i.e., lunch reports and deposits)
- Sells and tracks lunch purchases in Point of Service (POS) system (Infinite Campus) in accordance with Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) meal count regulations.
- Ensures all components of reimbursable meal are present in accordance with USDA and CDE meal count regulations.
- Attends mandatory training events on meal count procedures

- Establishes and maintains accurate record keeping, document management, and filing systems
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with individuals from many diverse backgrounds and professions including supervisors, administrators, coworkers, staff, students, parents, and the general public
- Maintains confidentiality
- Manages simultaneous demands and sets clear priorities
- Manages independent tasks without direct supervision
- Communicates effectively with students and adults in a wide variety of settings
- Uses office methods and procedures including appropriate telephone etiquette
- Uses computer proficiency including office productivity applications
- Has oral and auditory capacity enabling interaction interpersonally and/or through communication devices
- Uses eyes, hands, and finger coordination enabling the use of equipment and writing utensils
- Lifts and carries up to 20 pounds, and may be higher for some assignments depending on position and student need
- Climbs stairs, ladders, and/or stools
- Reaches, holds, grasps and turns objects
- Uses fingers to operate computer keyboards
- Feels the shape, size and temperature of objects
Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR - American Heart Asc. / Red Cross / Etc.
- High school graduate - high school diploma or equivalent
