Breader Opr PR03U, Line 3 FP Frontside 2nd Shift - Hope, AR

About the role

This position ensures that product is battered and breaded according to specifications and that equipment maintenance and upkeep are performed. The operator must follow all safety checks and procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) training, and conduct a physical assessment of equipment before operation to identify safety or equipment issues.

Responsibilities

• Assemble barrels, batter applicators, XL breaders, and transfer belts.
• Use a tachometer to set line speeds as outlined by Stein guides for XL settings.
• Obtain and follow product specifications for equipment settings, unless directed otherwise by management.
• Ensure lines are not creating breading voids.
• Troubleshoot and resolve non-mechanical equipment jams or lock-ups in a timely manner.
• Physically verify all ingredients against specifications before loading the machine.
• Perform pick-up checks according to McDonald’s specifications.
• Continuously monitor product quality and notify leads, supervisors, or GPMs of any issues.
• Ensure smooth transfers to prevent product defects.
• Maintain orderly and clean housekeeping, removing all foreign objects.
• Continuously check and monitor equipment settings.
• Service equipment during breaks to prevent damage and prepare for the next run.
• Drain and prepare equipment for shutdown and cleaning at the end of the last shift, including covering electrical control boxes/panels to prevent water damage.
• Maintain barrel operation, sifter recycling, and related equipment.

Requirements

• Willingness to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
• 3 months of work experience within the past 12 months.
• 6 months of machine operator experience within the past 2 years (may be combined across multiple employers).
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be eligible for rehire (see rehire criteria below).

Rehire Criteria

• Accepting rehires.
• Ineligible for rehire if you have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times (3x Rule).
• 6-month (180-day) waiting period for rehire.

Pay

$17.95/hour + $2/hour shift differential.
