Brazil (Maués) Internship
Vision
Our vision for church multiplication is to make disciples that will form a network of indigenous churches in the Manaus region, and that these churches would have a missionary vision for sharing the gospel in the remote villages they came from.
About the Role
World Team is committed to reaching these migrant populations. Our teams seek to cooperate with the local church in strengthening and multiplying indigenous churches and leaders in the city of Manaus and the surrounding region with the final aim of encouraging, mentoring, training, and equipping them to serve as indigenous church planters to the greater Amazon region.
Responsibilities
- Cooperate with the local church to strengthen and multiply indigenous churches and leaders
- Mentor, train, and equip indigenous church leaders to serve as church planters
- Work alongside the local church to encourage indigenous church growth and development
Requirements
- Native speaker of Sataré-Mawé language
- Willingness to learn and use Portuguese
- Passionate about sharing the gospel and planting churches
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Qualifications
- Bible college degree or equivalent
- Experience in church planting or leadership development
- Strong communication skills in both Sataré-Mawé and Portuguese
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
