Brazer 1st shift

Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking a Brazer to join our team in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Braze copper tube and pipe to form the header on the heat exchanger
• Braze required copper fittings onto header
• Maintain proper torch and braze rod technique
• Maintain proper braze certification (ASME)
• Pressure test units
• Read and interpret instructions and diagrams (blueprints)
• Follow schedule and report completions
• Follow company policies and safety programs

This position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Manufacturing experience
• Ability to read work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Experience working with copper tubing and pipe preferred
• Heat-exchanger manufacturing experience preferred

Work Environment

Non-temperature controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles typically associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment, including noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, paint masks or respirators when required, and OSHA-compliant safety boots/shoes.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

• Regularly required to stand for long periods
• Walking, reaching, ascending/descending ladders, bending, kneeling, and stooping
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
