Brand Sales Representative

Position Summary The Brand Sales Representative will drive sales of meat and cheese products at the deli counter through customer engagement, product knowledge, and personalized interaction. This position will support the San Fernando area and follows a Monday-Friday schedule with some weekends. Essential Functions Interact with customers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner to generate brand awareness to increase salesPrepare and demonstrate new and or promoted products to store customers through sample arrangements and by demonstrating recipes using company productsProvide excellent customer service; assess the needs of the customer to best recommend products; use product slicer to fill orders and or provide samples to customers; complete order process for purchasesClean area and equipment as required by supermarket and local health codeMaintain store shelf standards and inventory through various merchandising strategies, including but not limited to rotation of products; ensure pricing matches current promotions and current marketing and promotional materials are displayedNotify management in case of an extraordinary issue, including but not limited to, quality failures and overstockMaintain excellent working relationship with supermarket personnel and management Requirements Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent1 year of retail or face-to-face sales experiencePersonal vehicle which meets company standards for licensing and insuranceMVR which meets Bar-S driving standards with review by Bar-S Human Capital License/Certifications Food handler's permitDriver's License which meets company requirements Preferred Qualifications Associates degree in Business, Marketing or related fieldFood product and or consumer packaged goods sales experienceRoute sales supervision experience in the food products industryExcellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, must be able to communicate effectively in personMust demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and communication skillsFully fluent in SpanishProven ability to motivate self and others Physical Requirements Able to stand for full shift of 6-8 hours with the exception of scheduled breaks Can regularly lift and move 30 pound boxes/buckets on/off shelves or cart/hand truck Can repeatedly twist, turn, kneel, stoop, stand, rotate, bend, push or pull to move 30 pounds Work Environment Able to work in a cold environment of approximately 34˚ F for prolonged periods of time Able to travel up to 90% of the time to store to store Able to work weekends and evenings Benefits 401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceAnd more.....
