Role Summary Cymbiotika is looking for a highly autonomous, strategic, and culturally plugged-in Brand Partnerships & PR Lead to own and execute the brand's partnerships, public relations, events, and cultural opportunities. This is not a role focused on managing one-off partnerships or simply responding to inbound opportunities. We are looking for someone who understands how to build a brand over time and can develop a clear strategy for how partnerships, PR, events, and cultural relevance contribute to larger business and brand objectives. You will take broad objectives—such as increasing cultural relevance, entering a new community, supporting a product launch, strengthening founder visibility, or reaching a new audience—and determine what we should do, why we should do it, who we should do it with, and how we bring it to life. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that requires both strategic thinking and strong execution. You should come to the table with a point of view, proactively identify opportunities, and confidently drive initiatives from strategy through execution. You will work closely across Cymbiotika's Marketing organization, particularly Creative & Social, Brand, Growth, and leadership, ensuring partnerships and PR ladder into one cohesive brand vision. Key Responsibilities Brand Partnerships Own Cymbiotika's overarching brand partnership strategy and roadmap.Translate brand and business objectives into thoughtful partnership opportunities and programs.Identify and secure culturally relevant partnerships across wellness, fashion, hospitality, fitness, beauty, entertainment, lifestyle, and adjacent categories.Develop partnerships that create meaningful brand equity—not simply impressions, logo placement, gifting, or short-term visibility.Develop creative partnership concepts that feel unexpected, premium, and distinctly Cymbiotika.Evaluate inbound opportunities based on audience, brand alignment, cultural relevance, business value, and long-term potential.Own partnership outreach, relationship development, negotiations, timelines, deliverables, coordination, and execution.Build long-term relationships and repeatable partnership platforms rather than relying solely on one-off activations.Identify opportunities for partnerships to support product launches, retail moments, campaigns, community building, and broader marketing initiatives. PR & Brand Visibility Develop and execute a proactive PR strategy aligned with Cymbiotika's broader brand and business priorities.Build meaningful relationships with editors, journalists, publicists, founders, agencies, brands, and cultural connectors.Identify the stories Cymbiotika should be telling throughout the year rather than relying exclusively on product launches or inbound press.Develop strategic press moments around brand milestones, innovation, founders, product launches, partnerships, cultural conversations, and company growth.Identify thoughtful opportunities for founder visibility across media, speaking engagements, podcasts, events, and industry conversations.Partner with internal stakeholders to develop compelling narratives and ensure messaging remains consistent across external touchpoints.Evaluate opportunities based on their ability to meaningfully strengthen Cymbiotika's positioning—not simply generate coverage. Events & Cultural Opportunities Identify cultural moments, events, destinations, communities, and conversations where Cymbiotika should have a presence.Build a forward-looking calendar of relevant cultural and industry moments and develop strategies around where the brand should participate.Lead partnership-led events and activations from concept through execution in collaboration with the broader Marketing team.Identify opportunities for Cymbiotika to authentically enter fashion, hospitality, fitness, beauty, entertainment, and culture.Bring proactive recommendations to the team around emerging opportunities, partnerships, communities, and cultural moments. Strategic Planning Develop quarterly and annual strategies for partnerships and PR that connect directly to Cymbiotika's broader marketing priorities.Translate brand objectives into clear priorities, opportunities, and actionable plans.Determine what perception Cymbiotika is trying to build, which audiences we want to reach, where we have permission to show up, and where we need to earn that permission.Build relationships today that can create meaningful opportunities six months or a year from now.Present clear strategic recommendations, articulate the rationale behind them, establish priorities, and independently drive execution.Maintain a clear understanding of why we are pursuing each opportunity and how it contributes to the larger brand strategy. Cross-Functional Collaboration: This role is highly independent but deeply collaborative. Partner with Creative & Social to translate partnerships into strong storytelling, content, and social moments.Collaborate with Brand on positioning, launches, messaging, and broader marketing priorities.Work alongside Growth and other teams when partnerships have acquisition, retail, or broader business objectives.Bring relevant stakeholders into opportunities early enough to maximize the opportunity.Develop clear briefs, timelines, deliverables, and communication so cross-functional teams understand what is happening and why.Ensure partnerships and PR strengthen the larger brand rather than operate independently from it. How You Work You Think in Strategy, Not Tasks You don't simply execute opportunities as they appear. You understand the larger objective, identify the strongest path forward, and prioritize accordingly. You Take Ownership Once something is yours, it is yours. You follow through, communicate proactively, solve problems, and close loops without requiring constant oversight. You Bring a Point of View You aren't afraid to challenge an opportunity when it isn't right for the brand—or identify when there is a bigger opportunity worth pursuing. You Understand Brand You understand that the most successful partnership isn't necessarily the one with the biggest name or highest reach. You think about positioning, audience, perception, cultural relevance, storytelling, and long-term brand equity. You Build, Then Execute You can create the strategy, make the outreach, negotiate the opportunity, and work cross-functionally to bring it to life. Strategy and execution are not separate jobs to you. You Close Loops Ideas become plans. Introductions become relationships. Relationships become opportunities. Opportunities become executions. Executions become learnings that inform what we do next. Qualifications 6–10+ years of progressive experience across brand partnerships, integrated marketing, PR, brand marketing, experiential, cultural marketing, or a related field.Experience within a high-growth consumer brand strongly preferred.Meaningful in-house brand experience preferred, with an understanding of how to consistently build one brand over time.Demonstrated experience developing annual or quarterly partnership, PR, or integrated marketing strategies.Proven ability to take programs from insight and strategy through execution and measurement.Experience working cross-functionally with Creative, Social, Brand, Growth, Product, Retail, Communications, and leadership teams.Strong understanding of how partnerships and PR fit within a broader integrated marketing strategy.Experience building long-term brand platforms, partnerships, or programs rather than primarily executing one-off activations.Strong relationships across brands, media, hospitality, wellness, fashion, beauty, entertainment, and culture are valuable, but strategic thinking and execution ability matter more than a contact list.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate strategy and gain cross-functional buy-in.Strong project management, negotiation, budgeting, and organizational skills.Experience within premium consumer, wellness, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, hospitality, or adjacent categories preferred. Strong Candidates Should Be Able To Clearly Articulate A brand or partnership strategy they personally developed and why.The business or brand objective behind the strategy. How they determined which opportunities to pursue and which to decline. How individual activations connected to a larger marketing plan. How they collaborated with Creative, Social, Brand, and other functions to maximize an opportunity. What they personally owned versus what an agency, manager, or senior leader owned. How they measured success and what they changed based on the results. An example of something they proactively built rather than something that simply came to them. What Success Looks Like Within your first six months, Cymbiotika should have a clear, proactive partnerships and PR roadmap rather than a collection of disconnected opportunities. You will establish a clear direction for where we're going, why we're going there, and how partnerships and PR support the larger brand strategy. Success means Cymbiotika is consistently entering the right rooms, building the right relationships, and creating the right moments with intention behind each one. Most importantly, leadership shouldn't need to constantly identify the opportunity, create the strategy, and hand it to you to execute—you’re bringing the strategy, the opportunity, and the plan, and then making it happen.
