About the role
Gensler’s San Francisco Brand Design team is seeking a talented graphic designer to join their creative studio. This team engages with a wide variety of clients on projects of all sizes, helping them tell their unique stories effectively via every channel available in today’s diverse media landscape.
Responsibilities
- Design visual communications, branded environments and experiences, including brand identity extension, environmental graphics, signage, and digital integration
- Own your project tasks and deliverables while working within a wider team, ensuring client's needs are met on time and within budget
- Assist the Design Director in developing client relationships, winning new work, and creating and participating in pitches
- Create and present design concepts both verbally and visually compelling
- Interface and coordinate with multiple internal design practices, including architecture, interior design, and strategy
- Collaborate with other designers within varied project team sizes and provide mentorship for junior staff
- Coordinate with external production partners to ensure delivery excellence
- Communicate with clients to ensure design goals are met
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, environmental graphic design, information design, communication design, or similar
- 5-10 years of experience after graduation in design or a related field
- Strong graphic design, illustration, typography, composition, and information design skills across multiple project types
- Experience designing for the built environment and comprehension of architectural scales, sections, plans, and elevations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills that work well in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced environment
- Strong presentation skills with an ability to communicate the “why” behind design decisions
- Software competency: Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop), MS Office, and working knowledge in Rhino, Sketchup or similar 3D modeling software, Figma, After Effects, AI visualization
- Nice to have: Revit, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Express, Final Cut Pro or similar
