About the role
The Brand Design Lead at In Tandem is responsible for elevating the visual expression of the company across its portfolio of consumer brands. This role involves designing for various marketing touchpoints including websites, paid media, app store listings, emails, and more. The position requires a strong design craft, expert-level communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Mature and strengthen visual systems that can scale to a variety of channel executions
- Collaborate in strategic brand strategy conversations to future-proof positions of our brands
- Own website and landing page design strategy and execution
- Develop high-performing page media creative (Meta, Google, TikTok, and emerging platforms) in both still and static formats
- Partner with Growth Marketing to iterate and optimize creative based on performance data and audience insights
- Lead creative for app store listings, visual positioning, and conversion optimization
- Design for email and lifecycle marketing campaigns
- Provide creative direction and oversight for video production (CTV ads, short-form video, podcast reads, motion graphics)
- Increase brand affinity and trust through thoughtful, high-quality design
- Raise the standard of creative excellence across the organization
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in brand, consumer, or marketing design roles
- Experience leading brand design at a consumer startup or high-growth company, ideally in digital services or mobile applications
- Deep expertise in typography, layout systems, and visual hierarchy
- Experience building basic motion/video assets, along with experience leveraging production teams or external vendors
- Comfort designing for both brand-building and performance-driven initiatives
- Expert-level proficiency in modern design tools (Figma and basic motion/video familiarity required)

- Strong portfolio showcasing web, paid media, lifecycle, and digital product marketing work
- Low-ego and collaborative, able to work fluidly with growth, product, and leadership
- Communicate design rationale clearly and confidently to cross-functional stakeholders
- Care deeply about clarity, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Operate with a high level of craft, polish, and intention
