Brand Content Producer

About the role

CBS Texas is seeking a Brand Content Producer to join our team. This role requires someone who can transform news stories into engaging, human-focused content that resonates with our audience. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of broadcast or agency experience, a passion for local journalism, and the ability to tell compelling stories.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce content that aligns with our brand and engages our audience
• Collaborate with newsroom journalists to identify the human side of news stories
• Create and maintain content across all station platforms
• Attend and contribute to story meetings, brainstorming sessions, and team huddles
• Write, produce, and edit content for various screens
• Participate in station promotions and brand activations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, TV Broadcast, or Marketing (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and experience in broadcast or agency environments
• Experience in writing, producing, and editing content for multiple platforms
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and studio/field production skills

• Passion for local journalism and community service
• Understanding of narrative structures and visual language
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
• Experience with cinematic production gear and still cameras
