About the role
As a Part-Time Brand Ambassador for G.E.H.A, you’ll help federal employees and retirees better understand their health and dental insurance options. This is a part-time independent contractor role that is remote-first but involves attending in-person events. Travel expenses are reimbursed, and you’ll be paid for your time.
Responsibilities
- Represent GEHA at local health fairs and wellness events
- Educate federal employees and retirees about GEHA’s medical and dental plans
- Become a go-to resource in your community
- Share educational materials, answer questions, and help make health benefits easier to understand
- Travel locally (mileage reimbursed and paid for your time)
Requirements
- Friendly and approachable with a natural ability to connect
- Confident presenting in both casual and formal settings
- Curious and willing to learn about health insurance and GEHA’s offerings
- Organized, responsive, and comfortable working independently
- Comfortable using basic tech tools (email, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce)
- Valid driver’s license and access to transportation
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and pass background clearance to enter federal facilities
- Reliable high-speed internet (non-cellular, minimum 30x5 Mbps, latency <80 ms) and a private workspace to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
- Dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions
Pay
The target hiring rate for this position is $28.00 per hour.
