About the role
The Curio Wellness Brand Ambassador is responsible for representing Maryland’s #1 cannabis brand and helping to achieve the Company’s annual market share growth goals. The Brand Ambassador supports a Field Sales Representative in their territory by hosting pop-ups, delivering marketing materials, and engaging with dispensary agents and customers.
Responsibilities
- Host a minimum of 24 pop-ups per month at dispensaries in the region
- Understand a dispensary’s inventory position and suggest/organize pop-ups designed to increase sell-through of specific products or product lines
- Deliver SWAG and gifts-with-purchase to dispensary staff as needed
- Bi-weekly visits to each dispensary in the region to deliver and install marketing materials, monitor and correct digital and print collateral, assist with merchandising display packaging, and upload digital marketing assets
- Develop a rapport and trust with dispensary management and agents
- Solicit dispensary agents for product feedback, offer budtender training, and collect email addresses for CW distribution list
- Create content and post to a dedicated IG account for CW Brand Ambassador team
- Represent Curio Wellness at cannabis industry events and activations
- Represent Curio Wellness at non-cannabis events and activations
- Assist with setup and staffing at large-scale, multi-day sponsorship events
- Memorialize dispensary visits and activities in Repsly
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in cannabis, pharmaceutical, or consumer product goods marketing
- Proven ability to build customer and consumer relationships in support of brand and product awareness
- Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
- Experience with field marketing software or customer relationship management software
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Personal vehicle and ability to drive to dispensaries in designated territory as well as to HQ weekly for General Sales Meetings
- Existing knowledge of the cannabis market preferred
- Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, including strong presentation skills
- Flex schedule—this position requires availability to work evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and sound judgment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) or equivalent job-related experience
