Branch Specialist 5 EC

About the role

The White Oak office has an opening for a Branch Specialist 5. This position encompasses the duties of Branch Specialist 3 and 4, plus directing day‑to‑day activities, resolving moderate‑complexity problems, and handling DMV issues in the absence of the Branch Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepares TripTiks and performs routine auto travel duties.
• Assists members with hotel and/or car reservations.
• Identifies cross‑sell opportunities.
• Processes travel money transactions, sells attraction tickets, balances cash drawer.
• May book cruises and tours.
• Performs opening and closing activities.
• Processes notary transactions.
• Assists with daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Handles transactions related to DMV license and title and notary services.
• Mentors and trains junior employees, assists with timekeeping and scheduling.
• Provides direction and resolves routine problems.
• Assists Branch Manager with administrative functions.
• Directs day‑to‑day activities and resolves problems of moderate complexity in the absence of the Branch Manager.
• Handles and resolves DMV problems in the manager’s absence.

Requirements

• Accounting or cash handling experience plus 3‑5 years prior customer service experience.
• Analytical skills and individual judgment.
• Must possess or obtain a valid notary license as required.
• 2 years experience as a Branch Specialist 3 (for Specialist 4 level).
• Proficiency in computer systems.
• Ability to coach and direct others; to work independently with minimal supervision.
• 2+ years experience as a Branch Specialist 4 (for Specialist 5 level).
• Advanced computer literacy.
• Ability to operate independently, exercising good judgment and discretion.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays.

Schedule
