Branch Service Manager | East Bernard, TX

Amegy Bank—Here, you grow. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Branch Service Manager to lead our East Bernard, TX branch. In this role, you will manage day-to-day operations, ensure a superior customer experience, and uphold the highest standards of operational performance. The ideal candidate combines strong banking expertise, proven leadership skills, and a demonstrated ability to build and sustain client relationships. This position will report directly to the Branch Manager and offers exciting opportunities for growth while playing a key part in creating outstanding customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Branch Manager to oversee daily operations, sales, and service activities, ensuring alignment with business goals and a high-quality customer experience
- Support recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations, including coaching and disciplinary actions
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve sales targets through effective promotion of bank products and services
- Manage staff scheduling, workflow, and coverage to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Monitor and analyze sales, production, and performance metrics to drive results and continuous improvement
- Resolve complex customer and employee issues, including escalations, complaints, and service disputes
- Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures, including audit preparation and risk management practices
- Approve transactions, perform overrides, and investigate operational issues, including fraud or loss, within authority limits
- Support day-to-day branch operations, including client transactions, cross-functional collaboration, and achieving short- and long-term goals
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in banking or financial services, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- Strong knowledge of lending processes, including underwriting, loan origination, and documentation
- Proven leadership ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members
- Excellent customer service skills with a track record of building lasting client relationships
- Proficiency in financial management, sales strategies, and banking products/services
- Working knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills aligned with business objectives
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging customers, staff, and leadership
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to multitask and perform in fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with core banking systems and branch operations
- Ability to obtain and maintain Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration in compliance with the SAFE Act
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturday, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week). A flexible schedule within the hours listed is required, including availability of working Saturdays as needed.
